Oregon EMS Exams Information
Oregon EMR Exams
To become an EMR in Oregon you must successfully pass the National Registry exam. To apply for the exam you must contact the National Registry and set up an account then contact Pearson VUE to schedule a time to take the exam.

Oregon EMT Exams
To become an EMT in Oregon you must successfully pass the National Registry exam. To apply for the exam you must contact the National Registry and set up an account then contact Pearson VUE to schedule a time to take the exam. The practical exam is coordinated through your program. When an application to conduct a course is submitted by a school, a date is selected for the class licensing exam. All EMT practical exams close 3 weeks prior to the scheduled exam.

Requirements for Oregon EMS Certification
EMR - Emergency Medical Responder
To become an EMR in Oregon you must: be 16 years or older, have a current certification from the NREMT, current CPR certification, submit a $45 license fee, and have a current government ID.

EMT - Emergency Medical Technician
To become an EMT in Oregon you must: be 18 years or older, proof of a High School diploma (or equivalent), have a current certification from the NREMT, current CPR certification, submit a $110 license fee, and have a current government ID.

To become an AEMT in Oregon you must: be 18 years or older, proof of a High School diploma (or equivalent), have a current certification from the NREMT, current CPR certification, submit a $125 license fee, and have a current government ID.
